8 cups of dry ingredients (4-5 c oatmeal, then things like ceral, raisins, m n ms, dried fruit, chow mein noodles)
Place in a big bowl and stir.
In a pan, warm:
1 c light corn syrup
1 c sugar
1 c peanut butter
Pour over the dry ingredients and mix well. Press into a cookie sheet and let cool. Cut into bars and enjoy.

Flax and Wheat Pancake Mix
2 c whole wheat flour
1 c white flour
1 c flax meal
2 T sugar
4 t baking powder
1 t salt
or 6 times it to make 5 quart jars full to give away as gifts:
12 c whole wheat flour
6 c white flour
5 c flax meal
5/8 c sugar
1/2 c baking powder, scant
2 T salt
Put 4 1/2 c mix in each jar.
Directions for making pancakes with the mix:
Add:
1 egg
1 c milk
2 T oil
1 1/2 c pancake mix (above)
Fry 'em up and eat 'em.

Cinnamon Ornaments
1 c applesauce
1 1/2 c cinnamon
1/3 c white elmer's glue
Mix to from a ball. Roll out to 1/4 inch thick. Cut with cookie cutters. Make a hole in each with a straw for hanging. Let dry for a couple of days.
Makes about 30 medium shapes.

Cinnamon Applesauce Ornaments
6 T applesauce
10 T cinnamon (or 6 T cinnamon and 4 T flour)
optional: 1/4 t of each: allspice, cloves, ginger
Mix together to form a ball, Dough should not be sticky or wet. Add more cinnamon if needed.
Sprinkle cutting board with cinnamon. Roll our dough to 1/2" thick. Cut with cookie cutters. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Poke hole in each ornament with a drinking straw. Then you can place a ribbon to hang through this hole.
Smooth the edges of each ornament.
Bake at 150 for 1 to 1 1/2 hours. Then turn off oven and leave in there 3 hours.
Once dry, decorate and hang.
If edges are jagged, you can use an Emory board to sand smooth.

1 c cream
1/2 c sugar
1 T flour
4 egg yolks
1 T vanilla
1 c vanilla ice cream
Bring cream and sugar to a boil over medium heat. In a small bowl mi together flour, egg yolks and vanilla. Add a few spoonfuls of the boiling mixture to this egg mixture and then add the whole htings back. Stir constantly for three minutes.Add vanilla ice cream and cook three more minutes.Stir constantly until thickened. Serve warm. Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.

Cajun Spice Mix

Stir Fry Sauce
- 2 -3tablespoons cornstarch
- 1⁄4cup brown sugar, packed
- 1⁄4teaspoon ground ginger (or a bit of fresh minced ginger)
- 2cloves garlic, minced
- 1⁄2cup soy sauce or 1⁄2 cup tamari soy sauce
- 1⁄4cup cider vinegar or 1⁄4 cup white vinegar
- 1⁄2cup water
- 1 1⁄2cups vegetable broth or 1 1⁄2cups beef broth or 1 1⁄2 cupschicken broth
- (use the broth that matches your dish. ie. chicken broth for chicken stir fry)
